Adults are humans or animals that have reached their full developmental stage. In the realm of human beings, adults refer to social and legal concepts. In contrast to a non-adult or "minor" an legal adult is a person who is at the point of majority, and therefore is regarded as autonomous, self-sufficient and accountable. The typical age of attaining legal adulthood is 18, however, definitions can differ based on legal rights, country and the level of development in psychological terms.

The middle age begins at approximately 40 before being followed by an older age of around 60. By the time we reach an early age (20 to early 40s) our physical growth is completed, though the size and weight of our bodies might increase slightly. As we enter the first years of our lives, we're physically and mentally at the peak. The strength of our muscles, the response time, sensory ability, and cardiac function all reach their peak.
